This helps us ensure we have up-to-date information so we can care for your kids well! Click the button below.Register Here A Resource For You If you've ever found yourself stepping in to finish your child's project, jumping to fix a minor meltdown, or thinking "it's just faster if I do it myself," Dr. Jeffrey Bernstein’s article, Overparenting: The Hidden Trap That Can Keep Kids from Thriving, is a must-read. As parents, our instinct is to protect and support. But Dr. Bernstein—a veteran child psychologist—explains how well-intentioned over-helping can accidentally send an unspoken message to our kids: “You can't handle this without me.” Over time, rescuing them from small struggles prevents them from building true confidence and resilience. On a scale of 1 to 10, how hard is it for you to let your child experience natural consequences? Email me your number (and your biggest challenge if you're up for sharing)! Get Involved: Serve with Wilmot Youth I am always looking to grow our leader team to better invest in the lives of our youth! If you’ve ever felt a pull to mentor, hang out, or serve with our students, Either during our Monday night program or on Sunday mornings. I’d love to chat.Email Mike Thank You As always, thank you for trusting us to partner with you. If you ever have questions or need anything, don't hesitate to reach out.

June Youth Update
Summer is just around the corner, and we are gearing up for an exciting finish to the school year! From welcoming new faces to our ministry to celebrating all that our students have accomplished, there is so much to look forward to this June. Here is everything you need to know about what's coming up at Wilmot Youth. What’s Happening? Here are a few things coming up in our ministry . . . JUNE 1: GRADE 5 NIGHT Ready to see what the hype is all about? TONIGHT, June 1st, we’re throwing open the doors for an epic sneak peek into Youth. Whether you're ready to level up or just want to see what it's all about, you’re invited! JUNE 8: YEAR END PARTY School is almost out, and we’re going out with a bang (and a whole lot of airtime!) It’s time to trade in the textbooks for grip socks and celebrate everything you’ve accomplished this year! We’re taking over Sky Zone Kitchener for two hours of high-flying, wall-to-wall action. Whether you're a dunk contest pro or just here for the foam pit, this is the party you don't want to miss.GRAB YOUR SPOT What We’re Teaching In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth and started writing the most incredible story. It's not a story meant to be put away on a shelf somewhere, but it's one we're meant to explore and experience because we're deeply connected to it. God created a role for each of us to play. Tonight, we’ll explore God’s story and discover the unique roles He has for each of us. Together, we’ll see how God is writing a good story in our lives. A Resource For You If you are a parent weighing whether to introduce your kids to the world of Harry Potter, David Mathis’s article for Desiring God offers a refreshing and deeply thoughtful perspective that moves beyond the typical "magic vs. no magic" debate. Writing as both a pastor and a father of four, Mathis shares his experience of reading the entire series aloud to his sons. He argues that rather than being a "manual for witchcraft," the books, especially the final volume, serve as a powerful echo of the Gospel. Whether you're a long-time fan or a cautious skeptic, this article encourages you to see how Hogwarts might actually help your children discover stories where the light eventually outshines the dark.READ IT HERE Wait...
