Wilmot Centre Church cares about one thing more than anything else, helping people follow Jesus.
Our Values
We are committed to living out the values of Jesus. Our mission is to love God, love others, and share the good news of Jesus wherever we find ourselves.Â
We put this mission into practice through three core commitments:
Authentically Connect
We are people who authentically connect so that everyone who is part of WCC can be noticed, known, & cared about.
Continually Grow
We are people who continually grow so that everyone who is part of WCC is growing in their faith in Jesus Christ.
Intentionally Engage
We are people who intentionally engage so that we show the love of Jesus through word and action in our community and beyond, helping others follow Jesus too.
Our Beliefs
We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.
The Bible
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, and our only authority for faith, worship and conduct (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
The Trinity
God is the Creator and Redeemer who exists in the person of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1; Colossians 1:14-17; Hebrews 1:1-4).
The Work of Jesus
Jesus Christ died for our sins, was buried, rose again and ascended into heaven (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).
The Return of Jesus
Jesus will come again to receive all believers to Himself (John 14:3; Acts 1:9-11).
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit convicts people of sin, regenerates the believing sinner, indwells, guides, instructs and empowers the believer, through spiritual gifts as He wills, for a life and service that is pleasing to God (John 3:5-8; Acts 1:8; John 14:26; 1 Corinthians 2; 1 Corinthians 12:11).
The Fall
Humankind was created in the image of God, but he fell into sin, and consequently he incurred both physical and spiritual death which is separation from God (Genesis 1:26, 27; 2:7, 17; 3:6-24; Romans 3:9-23; Ephesians 2:1-3).
Salvation
Salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, His blood, righteousness and resurrection (Acts 4:12).
The Church
The church is a fellowship of all true believers who have been born by the Holy Spirit into the family of God (Hebrews 10:5; 1 Corinthians 1:2).
Our Denomination
We are a member of The Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada
Which is a family of churches and disciple makers following the ways of Jesus, depending on the Spirit, blessing others and participating in Jesus’ mission everywhere.
